Your Data is Safe with Mart Visser Artwork

Mart Visser Artwork values your privacy, both as a customer of our webshop artwork.martvisser.nl and as a follower of our social media channels. We aim to be transparent about how we handle cookies and your data, in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) effective since May 28, 2018.

We use personal data and cookies to ensure our webshop works properly and is user-friendly. Additionally, we keep you informed about new collections and events. By storing cookies and interests, we can show you relevant information and articles, allowing you to navigate our site more efficiently.

All customer data is stored on a server in the Netherlands and is subject to Dutch law. In the unlikely event of a breach, we have cyber insurance in place, enabling a team of experts to respond quickly.

As a customer, we collect the following data from you (for shipping ordered items):

  • Name, Address, and City (NAW)
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Clothing size
  • Date of birth (if provided, e.g., for birthday promotions)

If you are not a customer, we do not have personal information about you. If you are subscribed to our newsletter, we only retain your email address.

1. What is GDPR?

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a European law that governs the collection, management, and protection of personal data of European citizens.

2. How does Mart Visser Artwork comply with GDPR?

Mart Visser Artwork (under M.V. Design B.V.) collects customer data to provide optimal service and customer experience. Communication via the webshop, app, and social media is tailored to your preferences. Your data is processed securely, and we communicate transparently about which data we collect, how long we store it, and what it is used for.

3. What data do we collect?

We only collect data if you have given consent or have previously provided it. Depending on what you share, we may store:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Shipping address
  • Gender
  • Date of birth
  • Clothing and shoe size

Additionally, information about your online activities is automatically collected, such as IP address, visited pages, time, duration, and browser used. This helps us improve our services and maintain statistics.

4. What do we use your data for?

We use your data to:

  • Tailor communication to your preferences
  • Better align our assortment with your needs

5. Which third parties do we share data with?

Data is only shared with third parties when necessary and after a processing agreement has been established. Third parties may include:

  • Customer service: shipping companies such as DPD or PostNL
  • E-commerce: Segmentify, Buckeroo, Riverty, Next Chapter, Exact Software, WebwinkelKeur
  • Online marketing: Google, Facebook

We ensure that your data is processed securely, and appropriate measures are taken to prevent loss or unauthorized use.

6. How do we protect your personal data?

We use SSL connections for orders, and our data is stored on a server in the Netherlands. We also have cyber insurance and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures.

7. Accessing your data

You can request an overview of the data we hold about you via artwork@martvisser.nl.

8. Retention period

Data is stored for a maximum of 7 years unless a legal obligation requires a longer period. After that, we delete the data or keep it anonymously for statistical analysis.

9. Updating your data

You can update your personal information in your account on artwork.martvisser.nl. Changes are automatically processed in our systems.

10. Deleting your data

You can request deletion of your data. After deletion, data is only kept anonymously for statistical purposes. Contact us via artwork@martvisser.nl.

11. Unsubscribing from the newsletter

You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of our newsletter.

12. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, transfer, and object to the processing of your personal data. Requests can be sent via artwork@martvisser.nl. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify our privacy policy. The most recent version is always available on this page.
